What Was Built
Product logic that connects the storefront to fulfillment.
Amazon products, ebooks and print-on-demand titles follow different paths. The build reads the product type in the backend and automatically formats the frontend output to match.
Product-Aware Presentation
Book displays adapt to the product type entered in the backend. Amazon listings, ebooks and POD products receive the appropriate frontend presentation without requiring the client to design each layout.
Simple POD Setup
A toggle enables print-on-demand for a product. The client adds the POD item number, and the backend integration treats the title as a physical product within the ordering workflow.
Automated POD Fulfillment
On order completion, the integration submits POD items to the print provider. Order status, shipping details and tracking information are tracked and updated as fulfillment progresses.
Homepage Book Controls
A simple “Show on Homepage” checkbox determines which books appear in the homepage book section. The display updates from that selection without manually rebuilding the page.
Category-Driven News
News uses WordPress articles, displayed dynamically according to post category. The client can publish updates through a familiar content workflow while the custom frontend handles their presentation.
Mailing List & Contact Tools
Signup details are stored in a dedicated table, with unsubscribe links for use in list emails. Both contact and mailing-list forms include human-confirmation toggles to help reduce automated spam.
Smart Book Displays
Manage the book details. The site handles the display.
The client enters the product information and selects the appropriate type. The frontend uses those settings to present the book and its available purchase options.
Homepage visibility is controlled with a checkbox. POD titles use a toggle and item number, connecting the public listing to physical-product ordering and fulfillment.
This keeps routine catalogue changes manageable without asking the client to edit layouts or work as a web designer.
Author Presentation
The author and the books share a clear visual identity.
Custom author sections connect the catalogue to the person behind it. Portraits, biography content and clear navigation give readers more ways to explore Robert’s work beyond a product listing.
Content & Reader Contact
Publish updates without redesigning the page.
The news section draws from WordPress articles and their assigned categories. New posts appear dynamically within the custom presentation, keeping publishing separate from page-layout work.
A simplified backend gives the client focused tools for managing the site’s content. Book selections, news and reader-contact records can be maintained without navigating the clutter of the standard WordPress interface.
Mailing-list signups are stored with unsubscribe support, while human-confirmation toggles help reduce spam through both signup and contact forms.
